UNFORTUNATELY we are unable to run tours November-february.
Tours usually run on Wednesdays and Fridays at 3pm during our tour months and usually take between 45-75 minutes based on the number of people and how in depth your questions are.
Our distillery shop and tasting room is open 10am-5pm, Monday-Friday. We currently do not open on Saturdays & Sundays.

Whats included on a tour:
Tour of the distillery - production areas, whisky warehouse and tasting gallery
History of the company and how it all started
Explanation of production and distilling methods
Oak barrels and how they change the flavour of whisky and other cask aged spirits
Tasting of our main range of spirits - gin, liqueur, vodka, whisky (limited edition whiskies come at an additional charge)
Designated driver will get one miniature of either gin, liqueur or vodka in lieu of tasting samples (we strongly suggest that the designated drivers refrain from sampling)
Age 18+ | £10 per head
Children 14-17 | £5 per head (can have a soft drink)
Children under 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult and must be supervised at all time.
Please take note of the following:
Disabled access is limited due to the age of the buildings and the geography of the farm. We are looking in to how we can improve access for the future.
Dogs will not be able to access the building or production areas. Guide dogs will have some access to the distillery.
Please note: children are welcome to visit the distillery, but we are a commercial distillery, producing a product which is legally for adult consumption only. We do, expect parents to use their judgement when considering the distillery as we do not have any facilities to entertain children. Any children brought to the distillery must be supervised at all times and may be asked to leave if they disrupt the experience of our other visitors.
Company policy prohibits photography and filming in the production area.
Please be mindful that we are a food & drink manufacturer. If you, or a member of your group, are unwell and/or suffering from any gastrointestinal or contagious illness on the day of your visit, we suggest that you postpone your visit until a later date. This is to ensure that all of our products are manufactured in the safest way possible.
As a working distillery, for operational reasons, we cannot guarantee that all or part of our processing facility will be working at the time of your visit, but you may be able to see into the still and other tanks, which wouldn’t be possible when the machinery is in operation.
As you make your way down the narrow bumpy farm lane to Dà Mhìle Distillery, you will enter straight onto our farm yard. Firstly you will see the Caws Teifi Cheese dairy building on your right and further down you will find the distillery. There is usually plenty of parking available. Distillery tours will start with an introduction and will outline some of the history of Dà Mhìle, the brand, and then lead on to the founding of Dà Mhìle Distillery. You will discuss some of the ingredients that go in to the different products and be taken around the distillery, showing you parts of the process from brewing, through to distilling, bottling, labelling and the warehouse where we age the whisky in various oak casks.
Once you're here, nothing is too much trouble, all questions will be answered to the best of our abilities and you will be as close to the equipment as the distillers.
"John’s stories from his years as an organic farmer as well as his ventures into the world of whisky are what make the tour - he is a fascinating individual that you could easily listen to for hours. He gave us a complete history of how he began as an organic farmer, how he approached Springbank distillery in 1992 for the first organic whisky of the modern era and how he later commissioned a few barrels from Loch Lomond in 2000."
Once you've been through distillery, you'll be guided upstairs to the tasting gallery.
Created sustainably from the wood harvested from the farm (trees fall every year in the typical Welsh winters), our gallery was hand built by a team of locals and help from our neighbours, not a single crane was used to put the many oak beams into the roof.
"The highlight of this tour is the tasting room, located on the top floor of the building, with the top of the still column protruding into the room from below. In the center is a rustic solid wood table with each of the spirits that Da Mhile has produced, from the original organic Springbank commission, Loch Lomond malt and grain releases, through to the gin, seaweed gin and orange liqueur."
The gallery has a viewing platform where you can see the top of our state-of-the art still, you can look down at the process while we're distilling.
If you're expecting a commercial tour with videos, PowerPoint presentations and a structured format you'll be disappointed. However, if you're looking for a personal touch from the distillers or even the owners, you'll enjoy every minute.
